According to the latest edition of the аIJʿª½±¡¯s Lao Economic Monitor, improving the business environment, particularly for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be key for promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth. A recent survey revealed the perceptions of SMEs in Lao PDR of obstacles to doing business. The main issues noted were: access to finance, informal practices, and electricity connection.
