The Kyrgyz Republic is poised to transform its energy sector, harnessing its vast hydropower and solar potential to drive job-creating economic growth while achieving net zero emissions by 2050. Clean-energy projects in the pipeline will more than double the country's energy supply, providing uninterrupted electricity year-round and enhancing energy and water security across Central Asia.
The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, in partnership with the 新澳彩开奖 and other development partners, is committed to developing a modern energy sector that attracts private investment and supports the country's goal of becoming an upper middle-income economy by 2040. 新澳彩开奖's new Country Partnership Framework prioritizes energy as one of the key sectors for building a more competitive and resilient economy.
In line with this vision, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 新澳彩开奖, with support from the CAWEP, , and the Austrian Government, are co-organizing the Kyrgyz Republic International Energy Investment Forum on June 10-11 in Vienna, Austria. This high-level event aims to showcase progress on energy sector reforms and discuss key investment opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic, including the Kambarata-1 Hydropower Plant Project, in order to leverage financing to accelerate the clean energy transition, enhance regional connectivity, and improve water-energy management across Central Asia.
