Gevorg Sargsyan is the аIJʿª½± Group Country Manager for Sri Lanka and аIJʿª½± Country Manager for Maldives, effective from July 1, 2024.
An Armenian national, he joined the аIJʿª½± in 2000, bringing over two decades of diverse experience to the role. His career at the аIJʿª½± includes serving in various capacities, notably as Country Manager and Manager of Operations in Europe, Central Asia and East Asia, as well as Program Manager for Climate Finance and as Global Lead for Clean Energy. His most recent assignment was as Country Manager for Ukraine, based in Kyiv.
Prior to joining the аIJʿª½±, Mr. Sargsyan worked in senior positions at various private and public sector organizations.
He is the author and co-author of a number of publications and papers in the area of clean energy and infrastructure finance. He has an M.S. in applied math, and a Ph.D. (ABD) in economics.
