аIJʿª½± is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified firms to assess the opportunities and challenges that the railway sector presents for women's mobility and employment in selected Latin American countries. This study aims to identify four countries in the region where gender disparities in the railway sector can be addressed; focusing on both mobility and employment. The analysis will explore the barriers low-income women face in accessing railways and the employment challenges for women in the sector; providing actionable recommendations to close these gaps.The selected firm will be responsible for preparing a comprehensive work plan; conducting qualitative and quantitative assessments; and developing policy recommendations based on the findings. Key deliverables include an inception report; a research protocol; and a final report outlining the barriers to women's mobility and employment in the railway sector; as well as a cost-benefit analysis of complementary interventions.
