The objective of this assignment is to prepare a regional marine and coastal ecosystem assessment for the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. This assessment will compile and assess relevant data and information to set a regional baseline. The regional assessment will be complemented by the valuation of seagrass and mangrove ecosystems at the national level in countries targeted (Jordan; Egypt; Djibouti; and Yemen). The assessment results are expected to be used to develop an investment plan; including the identification of coastal and marine resilience interventions to support blue economy development at the national and regional levels; enhance resilience of the marine and coastal areas and ecosystems and inform related ongoing and planned interventions. аIJʿª½± team will provide spatial maps of mangrove and seagrass ecosystems and the associated carbon stock assessments in the countries targeted to supplement this ecosystem analysis
